Three doors in. There is no fourth door, and there is no comments section, by design: this is not a place to debate. It is a place to check.

How intake works here: by email. This site has no web forms, collects nothing through this page, and stores nothing you type. Each door below names an address and exactly what to include. The button opens your own mail program with the address and subject filled in; nothing is sent until you send it.

Submit a Claim

Heard a claim everyone is repeating? Send the words as they circulate, to claims@themiddlecolumn.com. Claims feed the daily check. We check claims, not people: public claims and public figures only.

Include:

The claim, in the words actually circulating
Where it is circulating (platform, show, or setting; a link helps)
Nothing else is required. If the claim runs, it runs here, where you can watch for it

Submit a Correction

The standard, printed on our Method page: bring a source of equal or better tier and we will re-run it in public. Send it to corrections@themiddlecolumn.com. A source link is required. Corrections enter the public queue and are answered in the Friday corrections window.

Include:

The brief (file number, e.g. MC-0001)
The figure or statement you dispute, quoted as published
Your source, as a link

Request the Receipts

Every brief has a Receipt Pack: source documents or links, dataset extracts, and the calculation sheet. If the pack for a brief is not posted, request it at receipts@themiddlecolumn.com. Standing commitment: we answer within two business days, with the data or a plain explanation of why it cannot be shared.
